Assin People also known as Asin, or Asen People are part of the Akan ethnic group and can be found in Central Region of Present-day Ghana they are related to the Fanti People and others part of the Akan ethnic group.
According to Anthropologist it is believed Assin People and other Akans migrated from the Sahara desert of Sahel region into the forested region around the 11th Century
